Raining cats, not dogs

If you (two) Petophile readers out there haven't heard of the radio program Radiolab, which airs on NPR, it is well worth your time to give it a listen. It is, quite frankly, addictive and mind-blowing.

They basically pick a theme, such as words or time, and investigate it from unusual scientific, philosophic and personal perspectives. And it's produced unlike any other radio show you've likely heard before: a style unto itself.

What does all of this have to do with cute kittens? Hold on, keep your pineapple on.

A recent episode is about falling, which one story discusses what researchers discovered in a study about cats falling out of windows. There is also one episode where some humans had an amazing encounter freeing a tangled whale ... so good.

I don't know if Radiolab would approve of the Petophile, but the Petophile approves of Radiolab. Their official T-shirt is even a goat standing on a cow. Way yay.

The program airs on NPR, or subscribe to the podcast here. Check out the blog, too. Come on, do it: Petophiles should be as well-rounded as possible.
