River culture

I remember someone using the term "river culture" once, explaining it as the camaraderie of those out on the water. Where strangers will just hang out together, put their differences aside.
Originally, I laughed at the term, but then I saw this photo:

Maybe river culture is no joke.

Or maybe that's not a duckling on the left, thereby totally ruining all river-culture references, dreams and hopes. Perhaps all it is is just a piece of dead wood?
Perhaps, but I'd like to think it is a yuckling.

Caseyface: The busiest cat ever

 Casey is really busy today.

 Uh-oh. We're interrupting her.

Let's let her get back to it.

She's easying into it ...

So busy!

Koala and kangaroo in their native Australia

 High in a tree,

or down by the water, the animals in Australia are too cute.

High-class kitty pjorn

This photographer is good. Really good.
Vincent J. Musi has photographed for National Geographic—one of the best kitty pjorn publications out there—The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, Life and Time.
But more than anything, his animal portraits are stunning. Take a minute to look at the beauty, dignity and, sometimes, humor he captures in his subjects.
